Humans are doing it tough - left, right and centre. There are long queues outside Centrelink, health workers are working tirelessly in hospitals and doctors surgeries, teachers continue to care for and educate our children and staff at all levels of government are working day and night (including one I spoke to last week who hasn’t had a lunch break since January….)
Small business is also a tough and scary place to be right now. One person I spoke to today highlighted the significant levels of stress and pressure they can see in small business owners.
If that’s you - please don’t go it alone.
The ATO has a helpful list of agencies and organisations who can support and help small business owners under stress. Beyond Blue has a particularly good page of links and advice.
First and foremost, if you need help and support, please let someone know.
As a small business owner myself, I have really appreciated the clear advice and help provided by our friends at MDH Accounting in Launceston, particularly around the flurry of advice and processes announced by the government over the last week or so:
March 16th: Update: Coronavirus stimulus package for business cashflow
March 23rd: COVID-19 - The latest news for you and your business
The team are also providing ongoing updates here as new measures are announced.
Stay connected, stay focused and stay strong…
